DMCC Labels: Setting the standard for review transparency
We’ve been shouting about how fake reviews are a problem for both businesses and consumers for at least ten years, and we were pleased when the DMCC was introduced to help combat them.
But the introduction of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 has understandably given companies further cause for concern. How can businesses reassure customers that the reviews they’re reading are from genuine customers?
This quarter, we’ve launched clear, at-a-glance review labels that help your customers understand the source and trust level of every review on your site. These labels make it easy to demonstrate compliance with the DMCC, build trust, and provide the transparency consumers want.
To maintain full compliance with the act, turn this on in the Hub under Display and Widget Gallery.

In Mail: Frictionless feedback collection
Reading review content is important for most customers before they make their purchase decisions, but they live increasingly busy lives and so leaving review content is less of a priority for them. Fewer detailed reviews mean reduced trust and sales – making it harder in the long term for everyone.
That’s why we’ve set our sights on making it easier for customers to leave quality feedback, to help increase response rates.
With our new In Mail feature, customers can share their thoughts instantly, right within the email they receive – no extra clicks required. Even if they don’t complete their review, you’ll see the content they did leave in your Hub, so you can use every single response.
To enable In Mail review collection, select the Collection tab in the Hub, then click Manage Campaigns to see your active campaigns. On the campaign you want to enable In Mail, select Feedback Preferences. Under the Channel options, select In Mail, then click Save Trigger.

In-App Toggle: Easier Widget adoption
Following the Q1 launch of our redesigned widgets, Q2 saw the introduction of an in-app toggle. This makes it even easier to deploy and manage widgets across your platforms.
Simply toggle them on in your Hub widget settings to launch new feedback experiences instantly.
Sales upload and Syndication matching
We’ve enhanced the sales upload process, so it is easier to import, match, and manage your sales data. Our improved Syndication matching ensures reviews are accurately attributed and shared across platforms, to maximise the reach and impact of your customer feedback.
Enhanced Feedback Report
We’ve launched powerful new enhancements to the Feedback Report, giving you greater control, deeper insights, and a smoother experience. New functionality includes:
- The ability to filter by three tag keys.
- A new Child Merchant filter for more precise segmentation.
- A show/hide toggle to switch between aggregated and individual merchant views.
- The Breakdown by Tag table now includes response rates, with clear guidance on how filters may impact visibility.
- An update to the rating filter to exclude “Not Yet Tried” responses from skewing insights.

What’s coming next?
Our team are busy working on the next improvements to the Feefo Hub. In the near future, we’re going to be bringing you:
- Greater widget customisation, functionality, and tracking, so you can tailor your feedback displays and access deeper insights from customers.
- New collection methods so it is easier to connect with your customers and increase responses.
- A new User-Generated Content (UGC) solution to collect, curate, moderate, and display authentic content from your customers.
