Founded in 2006, Feefo is a ratings and reviews platform that collects reliable and constructive reviews for thousands of clients worldwide. We only send invitations to verified customers to ask them to leave a review, so consumers can learn how people like them feel about different products and services. And companies can truly discover what they’re doing right, and where they can improve. Our Story

Feefo Ltd was born

2006

Feefo, the creation of William 'Bill' Cawley (and Edward Lennox) in 2006, stemmed from his diverse journey through careers as varied as a maths teacher, farmer, firefighter, and roles in electronics and IT over 30 years. His rich background, including developing for IBM and creating a new programming language, fuelled his innovation. Observing eBay’s feedback system's effectiveness, Cawley was inspired to design Feefo. His vision was to offer businesses an independent, unedited platform for genuine customer-supplier dialogue, enhancing online trust and transparency.

Red Herring Magazine has announced its selection of the 200 European finalists, forerunners for the prestigious Red Herring 100 Europe 2007 award, which was announced at the Red Herring Venture Market Europe (VME) conference in Cannes on March 25-27 at the Intercontinental Carlton.

Feefo Holdings Limited takes over

Matt Eames (COO) and Andrew Mabbutt (CEO) backed by Charles Tyrwhitt founder Nick Wheeler took Feefo to the next level. Feefo's office opened in 78 York Street, London, W1H 1DP

We are delighted to announce that Feefo have picked up another gong, scooping silver at this year’s BTAs. The New York themed event saw our very own Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Mabbutt and Chief Commercial Officer, Matt Eames add their own Feefo flavour to the proceedings. Dressed as the Empire State Building and King Kong, it’s fair to say their costumes stole the show!

The team released a reworked, updated version of the Feefo platform. This year also marked the start of our Google partnership, allowing our ratings and reviews to display within Google search results.

Vespa Capital acquired Feefo as part of the next stage of its journey from start-up to scale-up.

COVID-19

2020

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Feefo was proud to support its customers in the travel and retail sectors by reducing or waiving their membership fees, as well as supporting our own staff during this challenging period. Tony Wheble joined the team this year, as a non-executive chair and then took over as CEO in 2021, to continue the focus on the evolution of the product and the brand.

Reevoo Acquisition

2021

Feefo acquired Reevoo, another UK consumer reviews and feedback business, which shared our belief in the crucial importance of real reviews from verified customers. We are upgrading Reevoo’s customers to the Feefo platform.

Feefo's sustainability journey

Reliable reviews company, Feefo, is on its own sustainability journey and has gained three ecolabels, which are available as part of its Sustainability awareness solution: Empowered Employees, Living Wage and Gives to Charity.

Feefo is, and has always been, a living wage employer. The company supports employee-suggested charities – at a local and national level. And it actively empowers its employees to do good in their local communities through project work and volunteering. This includes giving each member of the business an additional two days off a year, to devote to any good cause of their choice.

Feefo recognises the need to do more and has established an internal Sustainability working group, to champion ongoing sustainability improvements - large and small - across all areas of the business. For example, while its Petersfield office already has solar panels on its roof, the business aims to improve the energy efficiency and use of renewables in its London and Boston office locations.

The group is also examining current working practices, with the aim of reducing energy demand. One ambition is to optimise its Google database queries, which would reduce carbon emissions – a key consideration for businesses like Feefo, which operate in the tech sector.

Feefo will continue to take further steps towards a more sustainable future, while maintaining its commitment to provide you with trustworthy feedback from verified customers.
