After you’ve made a purchase with a business that works with Feefo, they send us your details so we know it’s a genuine purchase experience and we can ask you for feedback.  

• We send you a feedback request for you to give an accurate review of your purchase. 
• You fill out the form with how you feel about your experience and your star rating.

This means future shoppers gain access to reliable information that supports their purchasing decisions, while businesses receive feedback they can use to help them. We’re giving both customers and businesses a more transparent, trustworthy review experience. Your details are safe and will only be used to send you a review request.

FAQs

Can Feefo help with my purchase issue? 

We collect feedback about your experience independently. We have no control over any aspect of your purchase experience (although we do love to hear about it as it helps businesses). Please contact the business you purchased from directly and remember that your review will be seen by the company and other customers. 

I didn’t opt in, why have I received a review request?

Your contact information is provided to us purely for us to ask you about your experience with a business. We promise that you won’t receive any other contact requests from us, or any third parties, and you are in control of your information.  

Gathering reviews is considered market research and an essential part of the purchase process, as it allows businesses to receive information about how their customer experience and products are viewed. This enables them to offer better service and improve what they offer.  

If you do not want to receive further review requests, you can use the “opt-out” link in the email. 

Can I remove my review?

Yes. If you’ve left a review and now want to retract it, you can contact our customer support team by emailing support@feefo.com and they will be happy to help. To make the process as easy as possible, please include the website address of the business you have reviewed, your order number and the email address that the review request was sent to. If you have an issue that the business resolves, you’re able to update your review after that experience. 

Does Feefo allow businesses to filter negative reviews?

No, we welcome all feedback. Negative reviews can be extremely valuable as they allow businesses to identify issues and improve their service. We wouldn’t take down a review because it was negative, but we may need to modify or completely remove a review in certain circumstances – for example if there are inaccurate or untrue claims contained within it. 

Trust is very important to us, and we always communicate when we have to make a change to a published review. For example, if we had to remove some bad language, we would write “bad language removed by Feefo” next to the amendment. Here are a few of the main reasons that we might have to intervene with a customer review: 

  • Use of bad language 
  • Offensive content 
  • Litigious content 
  • No relevance (e.g. you’ve reviewed something that is unrelated) 
  • The review is proven to be false (e.g. the information provided is incorrect: wrong dates for a hotel booking, no proof of purchase).
