Feefo announces internal promotion of Steve Powell to Chief Operating Officer

Steve Powell has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Feefo, driving strategic alignment between product engineering and customer success.

[London, 04 April 2025] – After a decade of dedicated service at Feefo, Steve Powell has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this pivotal role, he will drive strategic alignment between product engineering and customer success, ensuring seamless delivery of technical innovation and exceptional customer experiences.

Since 2006, Feefo has supported global businesses and SMEs to collect authentic, customer-led reviews and feedback, helping them translate the voice of the customer into actionable insight that helps promote growth. Previously CTO, Powell has played a crucial role in providing businesses with actionable insights and cutting-edge solutions.

Since stepping up to COO, Steve Powell comments:

“I've been part of the Feefo team for a decade now. As CTO, I led numerous key tech initiatives and product developments. This included steering complex platform migrations, ensuring scalability and reliability as we've grown, and driving the adoption of modern development practices. I'm particularly proud of the work we've done to enhance our data engineering capabilities, which has directly resulted in more impactful and actionable insights and better performance for our clients. Beyond the technical, I've always prioritised close collaboration with our clients, personally leading many critical implementations and gaining a deep understanding of their needs.”

Steve’s new role will see his focus shift away from his tech background and more towards the customer-facing side of the business. He added:

“My technical background has instilled in me the importance of data-driven decision-making, rigorous process improvement and a focus on scalability. I'll still bring this analytical approach to customer success, using data to identify trends, optimise workflows, and personalise our support.”

“I'm most passionate about creating a truly seamless experience for our customers. By bringing technology and customer success under one roof, we can ensure that every interaction, from onboarding to ongoing support, is aligned with our clients' strategic goals. I want to build upon our culture of proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement, where we anticipate our clients' needs and deliver exceptional value at every touchpoint.”

AI and cloud technology are two advancements that form part of Feefo's offering. He explains:

We have only scratched the surface of possibilities to leverage AI in enhancing our analytics capabilities and I am excited about our roadmap of Advanced Analytics which will provide clients with deeper insights into consumer sentiment and behaviour. Cloud technology, through our close collaboration with Google will continue to be essential for ensuring scalability, reliability and security - allowing us to deliver a seamless experience to our global client base.”
