The significance of National Tree Week

National Tree Week, the UK's largest annual tree celebration, marks the start of the winter tree planting season. This week-long event encourages communities, schools, and organisations to engage in tree planting activities and raise awareness about the importance of trees in our ecosystem.

Trees play a crucial role in combating climate change, improving air quality, and providing habitats for wildlife. National Tree Week is an opportunity to reflect on these benefits and take actionable steps towards a greener future.

Feefo's commitment to sustainability

At Feefo, sustainability is integral to our cause,  we understand that our actions today shape the world of tomorrow. Thanks to the launch of Treefo, this commitment has driven us to fund the planting of 126,500 trees across three impactful projects.

Our initiatives are not just about planting trees; they are about restoring ecosystems, supporting local communities, and helping to maintain a sustainable environment. Each tree planted represents a step towards a healthier planet.

A closer look at Feefo's tree planting projects

Feefo is supporting three significant tree planting projects, each chosen for its unique environmental impact and community benefits:

1. Mangrove Planting at Kandrany, Madagascar: We have funded 61,550 trees to be planted in this project. Mangroves are vital for coastal protection and biodiversity, providing a habitat for numerous marine species.

2. Forest Restoration in Kenya: This project sees 53,250 trees planted to restore degraded forest areas. Forests are essential for maintaining the water cycle, preventing soil erosion, and supporting wildlife.

3. Reforestation in Mussuquelane, Mozambique: With 11,700 trees funded, this project aims to reforest areas affected by deforestation, contributing to carbon sequestration and local community development.

Turning feedback into trees

Businesses that use Treefo find that they collect more feedback due to the motivational factor of supporting the planting of trees, and displaying the Treefo badge prominently in their marketing encourages browsers to buy.

We're delighted that many of our clients are as actively involved in Treefo as we are.

  • DHL has partnered with Feefo to integrate sustainability into their customer engagement strategy. Through the Treefo initiative, they encourage their customers to contribute to tree planting projects, encouraging a sense of shared responsibility for the environment.
  • Totality Services has transformed customer feedback into a force for good by partnering with Feefo's Treefo initiative. Pledging to plant a minimum of 50 trees per month, every piece of feedback they receive contributes to tree planting projects.

Joining DHL and Totality in employing Treefo is not just about helping the environment. You'll see a positive impact on your reputation, and the potential for increased conversions because of the environmental responsibility you’re demonstrating.
